ASHAMED !!!!! I think, my views are totally echoed in the following link.
ASHAMED !!!!! I think, my views are totally echoed in the following link.
This is one video, very close to my heart. You’ll understand why.
This video is powerful. It is deep and if you possess an ounce of empathy, as a human being, you will join me, in condemning all the atrocities, that we ‘the super intelligent race’ has caused on ‘everything’, we come in contact with.
WAKE UP HUMAN BEINGS !!!!!
This world belongs to EVERY creature that Allah ALMIGHTY created.
STOP being selfish.
This world has witnessed enough of your GREED, LUST AND LUDICROUS ACTIONS.
Its time to show that we human beings have a fraction of HUMANITY buried somewhere deep within us !!!!
This world is HOME to you as much as it is, to the ant stalking in your garden.
STOP abusing ANIMALS ~
Stop the senseless breeders of cats and dogs !! Enough cats and dogs, roam the world, looking for a warm cuddle and some affection. Stop being biased to one breed ~ and the breeders WILL DISAPPEAR !
Dog fighting and cock-fighting is as barbaric as what the Romans, engaged in, for entertainment ~ It enrages me to think, we call ourselves, civilized !!
Stop the senseless poaching of Rhinos and Elephants, in Africa.
Stop killing dogs and sharks to fulfill a special meal desire, in the Far East.
Stop your insane killing of seal pups in Canada.
Stop slaying crocodiles and snakes to use in your exotic brands,
Stop the madness of white lion breeding and eventual killing.
Why does the world, still believe that getting a lion to behave like a kitten in a circus is amusing !! Its repulsive !! You are stealing the dignity of these magnificent kings of the wild !! These regal animals deserve their rightful thrones in the jungles and savannah ~ not a pathetic caged life !!!
Lions and tigers, were meant to roam and rule, the deep jungles ~ they were not designed by the Almighty to be a trophy piece in some palatial tomb.
Stop cutting down trees ~ it is home to millions of small and big creatures
These trees are our homeland filter system ~ Their mere existence enriches us and stops us from choking on harmful gases !!
Stop the never-ending pollution from your factories, cars and those GOD-FORSAKEN ship tankers, that endlessly kill an entire generation of sea-life with their oil spills.
And finally, industrialization and commercialization naturally have advantages and disadvantages.
Have you ever visited the numerous kitchens in a cruise ship ? The foray of exotic meals served to the rich and famous is outrageous !! ‘THAT’ is your lesson 101 on the disadvantages of commercialization ~ pitifully.
We are frantically running a race ~ a race against time ~ a race against our own destinies ~ a race where we topple and defeat everything in our path, paying little heed to the insane reality of what we leave behind on the tracks. We humans, CAN maintain a balance ~ we CAN coexist in harmony with the rest of Allah’s creation. We may have been blessed with an added advantage of superior limbs, and superior thought process and superior compassion, but we rarely tend to make use of the later two.
We are transformed into fickle-minded mere mortals, who are enthralled by one defining news that concerns us for a certain span of time and no sooner does it get chugged away, along with yesterday’s newspaper and its news.
Dear Fellow Humans :-
STOP YOUR THOUGHTLESS SILENCE ON ALL ATROCITIES THAT YOU WITNESS, be it on humans or on animals or mother nature ~ SPEAK UP !!
Your NOT A TREE ~ YOU WERE GIVEN A VOICE FOR A REASON ~ NOW USE IT FOR THE RIGHT REASON.
Assalam Alai kum brothers and sisters. I trust, you are in good health and are counting your blessings everyday.
The link above is an excellent short video based on our existence and how we can remove the corrupt, evil sins from our hearts. It is a beautiful metaphor and I’m sure, you will like it, hence sharing.
The doors of Rehma (mercy/forgiveness) will remain open for us till the moment, we take our last breath, hence don’t assume you will not be forgiven. Allah swt can and will pardon the worse of the sins, provided the niyaah (intention) is sincere and the remorse is true.
A family we knew, had a daughter, who suffered at the hands of a chronic illness for all her tender life. We realized, perhaps, she was a test from the Almighty. Eventually she passed away leaving her parents with a broken heart.
A few years later, the only other child, an older son, matured and carried forward the responsibilities of his fathers’ business. The father was beside himself. A young, charming, well-behaved, well-disciplined and responsible son, is a dream come true. The parents had him married and the following year, the young bride and groom, performed Hajj.
Although, they are our family friends, we barely kept in touch, over the years. Never the less, I have a deep-rooted respect for this family and upon hearing the beautiful news, I was overwhelmed with joy.
Sadly, it was short-lived.
A couple of years later, the said young boy, committed suicide.
Death of a child, in itself, is the harshest emotional devastation, but loosing your child to suicide can add an unbelievably surreal dimension to this trauma.
And then begins a string of speculations of why he took such a drastic step .. .. perhaps monetary issues, perhaps business decline, perhaps he did not bear children and perhaps a dozen other factors, which we may never know and in so many ways, its none of our business ! But here is whats really important :-
My dear brothers and sisters, suicide is haram. There is no other way to put it mildly.
Please remember, we are placed in this world to face the trials, to endure hardships while keeping our imaan (faith) intact. We CANNOT and MUST NOT give up.
Talk to anyone of your family members, friend, relative, a trusted neighbor, a colleague, the imam in your masjid ~ if nothing else, turn to a psychiatrist. But DONT give up. Whatever problems, you face, there is ALWAYS a solution. Sometimes, we have to persistently search for it, and sometimes, patience brings it at our doorstep, never the less, there is ALWAYS a solution. However there is no solution to DEATH.
That is the trauma this elderly parent faces and will continue to endure every single day, for the rest of their lives.
The young bride who probably has a life ahead of her, with a stigma so intense, to carry in our hypocritical society.
What he did ~ is not the issue here becoz he is no more and no one can bring him back.
But what matters is what we learn from this unfortunate tragedy.
Asian parents are highly emotional and less logical parents. They pin too many hopes and aspirations over their offspring. In a way, they almost live their youth, thru their children, which is fine , so long as they don’t start imposing their expectations on them. If your raising responsible children, remember, when they goof-up(and they will) don’t remind them time and again, about your disappointments (they already realize their mistake) Reminding them will not bring them closer to you. It will only widen the barrier between them and you.
Brothers and sisters, No matter what your fix is, rely on your parents. There will be a temporary period of disappointments and you may curl in the feeling of being a let-down. But trust me, its far better, that they sort your hassle out than sort your coffin out. There can be no excuse for suicide. Absolutely NONE.
The void a parent feels after loosing a child is unbearably painful but knowing and blaming himself, all the remainder of his life, why his child could not turn to him as a confidante, is far more painful for a parent.
This video demonstrates how wrong decisions, wrong habits and wrong deeds can blacken our hearts and our minds and misguide us in the wrong direction, but ……………………… there is hope.
Ask Allah swt for forgiveness, refrain yourself from evil practices and reprimand your ways and there is no reason, why the Almighty Allah swt who is Ghafoor and Raheem, would not forgive his slave.
He is waiting for YOU to raise your hands in dua and with trust in your heart, turn to him. He alone will set you free.
so what are you waiting for ?
The animal kingdom never ceases to amaze me and the human kingdom never ceases to disappoint.
Have you viewed this link ? Click on the picture to read how the drama enfolds :-
Please view this link and let me know your thoughts here.
Many a times, animal behavior is far beyond what human behavior can even comprehend.
Do come back with your views.
The following video had me thinking just how much “compassion” Allah swt has blessed even in animals. You’ll be surprised if you search in Youtube about animal compassion stories.
Have you ever thought, how is it, that human beings with the highest intelligence rate, still dump their own babies in garbage bags and dumpsters ? It is a cruel act ~ not to mention a very dangerous one for the baby.
Two things :-
1:- Accidental pregnancy ~ illegal pregnancy ~ pregnancy out of wedlock ~ what ever the reason :- People, stand up and take responsibility for your uninvited little baby. He is a living being ~ He is a blessing ~ He has been gifted to you to show you how to love and be responsible. When was the last time you dumped a diamond ring ? Think about it.
2:- We believe in our blown up and misguided minds, that “WE” are the individuals who have control over things ~ we would be looking after or caring for or raising the young baby ~ if we can not afford it ~ why have it ~ so dump it ~ right ? No ~ WRONG !!! You don’t wait for 9 months just to dump the baby. Its criminal. Even if you think, you can or will get away with it today ~ It will haunt your conscious every single day of your life.
Learn, learn from this Mama Cat in the video, how she stuck by her “prey” just becoz she nursed them. Have you forgotten that your Lord is the provider ~ not you ~ you are merely a vessel. He provides the tides and the wind to drift your sail. The Almighty tests you ~ and tests you for what ?? For the CHOICE you make.
Don’t let go of that precious baby. He may not have a voice today but on the day of Resurection ~ You will be answerable.
Three beautiful thoughts from Mr. Ratan Tata
1. None can destroy iron, but its own rust can!
Likewise, none can destroy a person, but his own mindset can.
2. Ups and downs in life are very important to keep us going, because a straight line even in an E.C.G. means we are not alive.
3. F-E-A-R : has two meanings :
I. Forgot Everything And Run
II. Face Everything And Rise!!
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: “I don’t believe that God exists.”
“Why do you say that?” asked the customer.
“Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine loving a God who would allow all of these things.”
The customer thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because he didn’t want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: “You know what? Barbers do not exist.”
“How can you say that?” asked the surprised barber. “I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!”
“No!” the customer exclaimed. “Barbers don’t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.”
“Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me.”
“Exactly!” affirmed the customer. “That’s the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens is, people don’t go to Him.”
While a child, we were generally taught, that raising our voice to certain injustices was not a very lady-like behaviour. Best to be silent than find yourself in an embarrassing situation. Parents preach one thing, but often times, practise another. I still remember, how mother would never have an ounce of fear, if confronted with an injust situation. She would never flinch. She would make her point clear. She would stand up for what she believed was right. Many years later, to a certain degree, I too, dont flinch, from a challenge confronting me. I too, believe in standing upright for justice.
One subject, very close to my heart are Animals. I have this huge and deep sense of love and respect for them. While I may not be as passionate about reptiles, none the less, I believe, Allah swt blessed this world with every insect, bird and animal to perform his role in nature. No matter, how small or huge, an animal fears us humans the most. We are the REAL predators. We humans, are the real beasts !! We have regally taken our positions right on top of the ecosystem yet we tend to abuse everything and everyone in our path.
We are careless, we are reckless, we are selfish, we are unresentful and we are causing the world to decay.
WE HUMANS ARE TOTALLY DISGUSTING ~ WE ONLY TAKE AND TAKE AND TAKE SOME MORE FROM NATURE AND in return we give back our garbage !!! and most of us would dismiss our participation in this by saying that we dont throw anything in the ocean. We dispose off our trash in the bin. Many wont see that the trash they throw in the bins indiscriminately will eventually find its way in the oceans because we do not really have the real consciousness of the impact of trash. Change must begin at home. Find out what happens to the trash ~ where is it disposed ~ it IS OUR DUTY !!!! Or there maybe islands flooded with poor helpless little dead baby birds !!! WAKE UP !!!!!!!
This is an excellent video but it really breaks my heart to see what is happening because Human beings are so totally oblivious of their negative contribution to the ecosystem. Kindly click the below link to view the video.
Please take a few minutes to view see this film, I am sure, you may wake up with wet eyes but a resolution to be more responsible with your junk.
“The real enemies are not in some distant land, they are not peoples who’s names we don’t know and cultures we don’t understand. The enemy is people we know very well and people we can identify. The enemy is a system that wages war when it’s profitable. The enemy is the CEO’s that lay us off from our jobs when it’s profitable. It’s the insurance companies that deny us health care when it’s profitable. It’s the banks that take away our homes when it’s profitable. Our enemies are not five thousand miles away, they are right here at home. If we organize and fight with our sisters and brothers, we can stop this war, we can stop this government and we can create a better world.”
— Mike Prysner
US Army Veteran who served in Iraq
If only there were more people who say this truth ~ accepted this truth and could do something to stop “that” enemy.

India is a multi-cultural country of myriad festivals. We participate in the celebrations of various deities round the year and it seems quite impossible to remain aloof from the accompanied pomp and show while paying homage to the gods.
Some of these festivals involve ‘idol immersion’ in water as the celebrations finale. Beautifully carved and decorated idols are drowned into water bodies like rivers, ponds and lakes with prayers for success, happiness and peace. Two major festivals in India that involve idol immersion are – ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’, dedicated to Lord Ganesha and ‘Durga Puja’, dedicated to Goddess Durga.
However, amidst the celebrations, people tend to forget the ill-effects of the practice. The most serious impact of idol immersion is on the environment. It disturbs the ecological balance by polluting water and adversely affecting the flora and fauna.
The idols of deities are made of non-biodegradable materials such as plastic, cement and plaster of paris and are painted with toxic dyes that contain harmful and toxic chemicals.
When they come in contact with water, it becomes poison. This results in contamination and death of marine life.
The reason behind this is those materials that do not dissolve easily in water, thereby reducing the oxygen level and increasing the level of acidity in water.
If consumed, it can even cost us our precious lives, as even a gulp of the chemicals can prove to be fatal.
The poor condition of river ‘Yamuna’ is a visible example of water pollution. Measures to prevent Water Pollution
Thankfully there are ways through which we can carry out the ‘idol immersion’ practice without harming the environment. Some unique and creative methods can be adopted to make ‘eco-friendly idols’. We should follow the ancient tradition of constructing the statues from natural clay and paint it with flowers based dyes.
Also, the government should take stringent measures during the procedure of immersing idols. Authorities should make sure that devotees remove all clothes and heavy-metal ornaments from idols before bidding farewell to the deities. There should be some strict guidelines and norms which must be followed prior to idol immersion across the country.
Surveys should be conducted at various immersion-sites to check pre-immersion, during-immersion and post-immersion water purity results.
There should be a ban on the immersion of plastic-made icons into lakes, rivers and the sea. Recycling of eco-friendly statues and creative, judicious and wise use of natural products in creating statues can be of great help in maintaining the ecological balance.
We as devotees should understand that if we do not respect nature then we can never respect God.
This is such an inspirational quote. I know, so many of you who visit my blog on a regular basis could find some respite in reading this quote if your disillusioned or going thru some trauma (May Allah forbid) ~ I know alot of these quotes sound soothing but it takes REAL FAITH to get you going thru those deliemmas ~ when they do appear. For me, in my heart, all I believe is that Allah swt is always carrying me. And I am ALWAYS thanking and praising him for that. To be honest, “Thats” enough for me to believe.
I have had my share of troubles and confusions and even when there was NOT ONE SINGLE SOUL who could guide me, share with me, support me ~ there was Allah swt ALWAYS. Knowing that ~ believing in that ~ made everything so much more “liveable” for me otherwise, I cant imagine what my state would have been then !
Everyday, we struggle. Everyday, we are made to make choices. Everyday, we walk the thin line between haram and halal in small matters and sometimes big ones ~ but truth of the matter is that if you keep Allah swt in the center of all your decisions, you just cant go wrong. Question is “do you before it gets too late ? or Do you when its already too late ?
This world is a wild place and a few wrong steps, a few misplaced trusts can be “near fatal”. I know I took the leap knowing very well in my heart that “HE” would teach me how to fly ~ 18 years and counting, I am saying exactly how I felt then and now. Faith gives you wings !
