Faith gives you wings !

This is such an inspirational quote.  I know, so many of you who visit my blog on a regular basis could find some respite in reading this quote if your disillusioned or going thru some trauma (May Allah forbid) ~  I know alot of these quotes sound soothing but it takes REAL FAITH to get you going thru those deliemmas ~ when they do appear.  For me, in my heart, all I believe is that Allah swt is always carrying me.  And I am ALWAYS thanking and praising him for that. To be honest, “Thats” enough for me to believe.

I have had my share of troubles and confusions and even when there was NOT ONE SINGLE SOUL who could guide me, share with me, support me ~ there was Allah swt ALWAYS. Knowing that ~ believing in that ~ made everything so much more “liveable” for me otherwise, I cant imagine what my state would have been then ! 

Everyday, we struggle.  Everyday, we are made to make choices. Everyday, we walk the thin line between haram and halal in small matters and sometimes big ones ~ but truth of the matter is that if you keep Allah swt in the center of all your decisions, you just cant go wrong. Question is “do you before it gets too late ? or Do you when its already too late ?

This world is a wild place and a few wrong steps, a few misplaced trusts can be  “near fatal”.   I know I took the leap knowing very well in my heart that “HE” would teach me how to fly ~ 18 years and counting, I am saying exactly how I felt then and now. Faith gives you wings !

Cheap therapy

The Cheap Therapy Soulbooster Word is FORGET.

Remember to forget.
Forget the stuff that’s weighing you down.
Forget the things that dim your natural brilliance.
Forget grudges and resentments.  Holding onto either is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.

Forget limits.  Remember possibilites.
Forget fear.  Remember faith and courage.
Forget old rules.  Remember new dreams.

Forget what anyone (including you!) has told you about your being too ugly, too pretty,  too dumb,  too smart, too fat, too skinny, too anything that slows you  down or zaps your confidence.

Forget what’s-his-name or what’s-her-name. What good is remembering them doing? So who needs ’em?!

Forget anything that’s taking away space in your brain, heart and memory from what’s important.
And the next time someone shakes their finger at you as if to say, “Didn’t I tell you that you should..?” Smile and say, “Oooooooooooooops,

This is the best I have ever heard it explained!!

Two wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, “My son, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf  wins?”  The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

This is such deep wisdom put so simply and beautifully. Very inspirational. We all have parts of good, bad and the ugly within us, but it depends solely on us which attitudes we wish should dominate our moods, or outlook.  “WE” choose to brood and drown in self pity, instead of looking at the brighter side of the situation we are in and finding a way out of it with a positive attitude. It is all a matter of choices. “Our” choices. And we have control over those choices. Aptly said, be careful which wolf you feel. I really liked the above tiny story.       Naush
